Fabrice is Aera’s Co-Founder and Executive Chairman. He overviews the group’s strategy and business growth with a special focus on carbon credits transactions. Fabrice also represents the companies to external stakeholders and is a regular host of media.

Fabrice led Aera’s growth since inception by nearly doubling the turnover and the net profit every year. He established Aera’s commercial presence in 20+ African countries with a strong focus on francophone Africa (Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, DR-Congo, Mauritius, Senegal, ,..). Fabrice has been instrumental in the development of Aera’s trading activities. He closed €160 million of carbon credits’ transactions since 2015 working with 80+ trading counterparties in Europe, Canada, US & Asia.

Fabrice closed the sale of 35% of Aera in Feb 2021 to Arise IS, a Joint-Venture between Singapore agri-food giant OLAM ($30bn turnover p.a.) and Lagos based pan-African infrastructure fund Africa Finance Corporation ($8bn invested to date).

Fabrice Le Saché is also Vice-Chair and spokesperson for the largest French Business & Employer Union (MEDEF). He is also Board Member of MEDEF International and Chair of the SME & Entrepreneurship Committee of Business Europe.

Fabrice holds a LL.M. in International Comparative Laws from the University of San Diego School of Law, a master’s degree in international public law from Paris-II Panthéon-Assas and a Diploma in International Relations from the Institute for Higher International Studies of Paris La Sorbonne University.

Aurélie co-founded Aera Group in 2015. She is currently the CEO of the company. She is in charge of the Administration and General Affairs, she takes care of the day-to-day running of the company.

Rich in field experiences in renewable energy, waste treatment, energy efficiency and agriculture, she masters the main carbon standards and the key aspects of the purchase and sale of carbon credits. She advised more than 80 clients in Africa and actively contributed to the registration by the UNFCCC of the 1st ever CDM projects in 10 African countries.

In 2019, she co-founded ‘Biogaz-IFF’ a company located in Britany that aims to develop, construct and operate a biogas plant using agricultural residues. The biogas produced is upgraded to biomethane and subsequently injected into the existing natural gas grid. In doing so, conventional natural gas users gain access to a renewable source of energy.

After 10 years of living and working in Africa, holding various management and administrative senior functions, I am joining Aera to continue to work on this continent and from now on with respect to ambitious projects, reconciling in a unique way, economic, financial, environmental and social objectives. This virtuous circle is an important source of personal motivation because it is part of this global dynamic aiming to achieve carbon neutrality. Aera is perfectly positioned to accompany these profound changes and I am delighted to contribute to them as part of the Aera’s team.

Alexandre is Chief Operating Officer of Aera Group since 2016. He leads Aera’s advisory business and development with a focus on renewable energy, fuel switch, energy efficieny and waste treatment methodologies in Africa.

He has advised and participated in 50+ climate finance & emission reduction certification projects in 15 African countries and contributed to raising over €100m climate fundings from development institutions like Green Climate Fund, SEFA, PSI, UNOPS. His carbon finance expertise oversees the due-diligence of sustainable development projects in the context of existing climate change funding mecanisms; the elaboration and support of of budgets and funding requests, and coordination and follow up of the certification and appraisal processes until emission reductions allowances.

Formerly, he held similar functions at ecosur afrique (2010-2015) and completed ecosur largest investments in Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire and DRC in the renewable biomass and clean cooking technologies.

Alexandre graduated from Ecole Centrale Paris (France) as an engineer and holds a M.Sc. Management of Technology from the National University of Singapore (Singapore). He is a CFA charter-holder (Chartered Financial Analyst Institute) and a volunteer mountain rescue & fire worker.

Haashim Goburdhun is Aera’s Chief Financial Officer. He manages the Accounting & Reporting, Treasury and Tax functions of the company. He is also responsible for preparing Aera’s Budgets and Forecasts and ensures adequate controls and policies are in place.

Haashim has held various senior finance positions in multinational companies with multi-billion-euro assets base and turnover in the Financial Services, Pharmaceutical and Mining industries. Some of the companies he worked for are Deloitte, Deutsche Bank, Aspen Global Inc. and Eurasian Resources Group. In his last role, he was the Head of Treasury & Shared Services for the Group’s African operations (10+ entities) and also the Executive Director of the Mauritian subsidiary.

He is a Chartered Certified Accountant with more than 15 years of experience in the profession and is also a fellow member of the ACCA.

Clémence is in charge of compliance. She is the key contact for KYC onboarding procedure. Her main mission is to analyze all the KYC data from the organizations Aera is working with. She is also in charge of strengthening the procedures applied within the group, in line with the evolution of regulations.
 
Clémence has put in place a new strategy for Aera KYC onboarding and compliance follow-up (digitalization of the procedure, new workflow, electronic signature). In 2021, she monitored more than 35 counterparties in 10 countries.
 
Before joining Aera, Clémence worked in major banking groups for eight years: BNP Paribas, Société Générale, Crédit Agricole; including two years in the Regulatory Department at SG for the establishment of MIFID 2, the regulation of financial markets.
 
She holds a diploma degree in Economics and Laws from CNAM (Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers). She currently specializing in French and European law.

He is directing Marketing contents production for +20 clients. He also supervised and set up the new Aera’s identity (website, logo, graphical charter, commercial documents…)
 
Previously, Alexandre worked at the French Employer Union (MEDEF) and at the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) on the marketing departments. Its previous missions ranged from social networks management to major international events organizations.
