Aera signs its largest forward purchase of CO2 certificates for a total value of USD 7,7 million. The contract covers all emissions reduction generated from energy efficient cookstoves program in Tanganyika Lake region (DRC). The deal provides $2M prepayment to help kick off activities.

This program is supported by OBEN, a local NGO with a solid track record, active in climat projects for more than 15 years and already operating 5 successful carbon programs, they employ 350 staff and generate $2M of turnover per year.
