5th Carbon Credits Issuance for Nouakchott Wind Farm

Aera completes the 5th carbon credits issuance under the VCS for the 30 MW Nouakchott wind farm project in Mauritania. The total amount of CO2 emissions avoided for the year 2021 reached an equivalent of 75,366 tons.
Operating since 2016, the Nouakchott plant is the first wind farm in the country, supplying an equivalent of 140,000 people with green electricity. The project features 15 turbines installed on a 1,000 ha unoccupied land.
