Support The First Ever Wind Farm In Mauritius Vulnerable Island.
French renewable energy developer Quadran developed and financed the pioneer wind project in Mauritius island contributing to strong technology transfer and energy mix diversification.
The project is an 18 MW wind farm erected under a BOOT model in Plaine des Roches, Mauritius. The site is interconnected with the national grid and electricity is sold to the national utility, CEB. The renewable energy produced by the project avoids the equivalent combustion of 9,800 tonnes of fossil fuel per year and reduces Mauritius’ heavy reliance on fossil fuels (mainly coal and diesel).
