Meridiam, a French infrastructure asset manager, invested in the 2nd largest West African solar PV farm in Mérina Dakhar, Senegal. This project is reducing the country dependance to fossil fuel and contributes to save governmental energy spending.
The grid-connected solar PV project in Mérina Dhakar involves the construction and operation of a solar photovoltaic plant of 29.49 MWp in the region of Thiès. This is the second largest operational to date in West Africa. The solar power plant covers an area of 83 hectares and is equipped with 92,160 modules of 320 kWp each fully connected to the national grid.
