Support The Largest Off-Grid Solar PV Project in Burkina Faso.
0MWh of eergy poduced annually
0million liters of fuel saved annually
EREN’s objective is to make reliable and competitive technologies available in order to utilize natural resources more efficiently. The off-grid solar PV project in Essakane will allow to reduce dependance to fossil fuel at an off-grid mining site.
Being managed by Essakane Solar S.A.S., a specific purpose vehicle owned by EREN Renewable Energy SA as majority shareholder (>90%), the main objective of the project is to deliver clean, renewable energy based electricity to the Essakane Gold Mine. This will be made possible by adding a capacity of 14.96 MW of solar panels to the 11 existing thermal engines. This additional capacity in renewable energy will allow some engines to be shut down during the day and thus a reduction in fossil fuel consumption.
